Covid safety update

Dear Parents and carers

We have been made aware of a member of our school community who has tested positive for COVID 19.

We know that you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England.  You will all receive a letter today to inform you of the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child.  Please be reassured that for most people, coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild illness.

A small number of children who have been in close contact with the individual who has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) have received a letter informing them that their child must stay at home for 14 days.

The school remains open and your child should continue to attend as normal if they remain well.

Contact with school

The school website contains email contacts for staff in the school should you want to be in touch with a staff member specifically.  There are no onsite appointments at the moment because of covid security,  so please use email as your contact with staff.  We recognise how challenging things can be during these very unusual times so please do use email to make contact with us when you need to.

And a refresher from previous posts should you require more information:
The GFM are regularly checking the NHS  and Government sites whenever we have a question about covid – recently the main questions are around when to self isolate, what to do if there is suspected contact with a case etc.

Take care everyone.
