Creative Forces Day Trip- 27 April

On Thursday 27th April a group of year 9 Service students from Bay House and Brune Park schools attended the Creative Forces day at Portsmouth University.

The Creative Forces day is for students from armed forces Families and gives them a chance to explore university life and their identity as a service child, meeting others from similar backgrounds, they’ll take an exciting glimpse into the future, looking at pathways and the support available.

The day included a tour around the city campus, a taster in creative writing workshop and interactive group sessions. The afternoon session was very unique and each student had to answer questions that were dotted around the working area. These questions were personal to the individual and they used their answers to fill in a tapestry artwork.

The piece of work they completed was wonderful and we have it here at the Hub to display.

These are the students who attended.

Well done to George Maund, Rory Micallef, Olly Headley, Liam Mills from Bay House and, Ruby Rutherford, Grace Robinson and Niamh Parkinson from Brune Park.

They were a pleasure to have on the trip and throughout the day they were polite, showed commitment, positivity and empathy for each other and were all very respectful.Great work team!
