Brune Park Community School held their very own Race for Life Event on Tuesday 2nd July, to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Over 1500 students, staff and parents took part and walked or ran over a mile each.
The event was organised by Brune Park PE Department
“It was astounding to see the enthusiasm and engagement from all the students and staff at Brune Park. Even though the event was so much fun, students were still aware of the importance of the event with the message being delivered to them that today was about remembering those that had sadly lost their lives to cancer but to also celebrate those that had beaten it” (Jo Powell)
It was lovely to see so many students engaging in such a wonderful cause, students were having such fun and the energy from our students was astounding.
This is the 3rd year, Brune Park have held their own Race for Life and each year it is getting bigger and better!
We are still awaiting a final fundraising total.
