Revision, revision, revision!
Last week, we shared with Year 11 students a session on ‘Taking a fresh look at revision.’ We worked through with the students practical strategies and tips on how to use their revision time to greatest effect.
A number of students and parents have requested that the session is adapted and shared with parents and carers as soon as possible – now arranged for Thursday March 28 at 5.15 in the Main Hall.
We know that exam success requires the ‘team’ effort around the child – parents and carers, every teacher and tutor, friends and extended family, everyone in the school community. The exam period can be a stressful and emotionally charged time for everyone involved, the research shows that the most important thing a family can do is to show genuine care and interest.
At the ‘Taking a fresh look at revision – a parent’s version’ we’ll share the research we shared with the students, the techniques, approaches and methods – as well as ways you might provide the genuine care and interest that proves to be most effective.
After the presentation, the Year 11 and School Leadership Team will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding revision and support.
We hope to see as many of you as possible on Thursday evening – refreshments will be available!
Looking forward to seeing you.
