It was a very different summer in 2020 to one anyone had known before and a unique experience for our Year 11 students. Instead of the final term of hard work as we built up to revision and exams, students found themselves accessing their learning online for the first time in their school careers, the exam season being cancelled and a new process called Centre Assessed Grades.
We were so proud of how our Year 11s last year, managed such a challenging period – we couldn’t believe we were saying goodbye to being onsite together in March 2020 and did not return. We have promised that we will have a prom and mark their leaving but we still do not know when or how – we keep our promise to you!
Centre Assessed Grades ICAGs) 2020
Staff and students worked to collate evidence of the standard students were working to, which were moderated across the school and the GFM before awarding students their CAG as their qualification outcomes.
As in 2019, in 2020 we were pleased to report a continued improvement in the number of young people at Brune Park achieving exam success.
