Anti-Bullying Ambassador Programme Event

Over 120 students from across the South attended a safeguarding event to help train and support young learners.

As part of The Diana Award’s Anti-Bullying Programme, students from across the South Coast, including from Reading, Salisbury and Camberley, joined together to challenge bullying and initiate positive change in their schools.

Students from both GFM secondary schools, Brune Park and Bay House, also attended the training and worked with course leaders on how to tackle child-on-child abuse in schools.

Designated Safeguarding Leads, Rachael Adderley and Steve Kitchen said: “What an amazing day for all involved and the positive impact of these committed young people will be seen across all the schools involved in today’s training.

“The students will be delivering training to their peers following the training and will work with the safeguarding team to decide next steps.

“We look forward to hosting other local schools for this training and seeing the students work together to creatively tackle this significant issue our young people face both inside and outside of school.”
