Last Thursday the Performing Arts Faculty were delighted to host the 8th annual Performing Arts Oscars, when last year’s Year 11 students were invited back with their parents to celebrate their successes. The evening began with an opening address from James Hankins, Senior Officer Information Advice and Guidance from Arts University Bournemouth, and during the evening we were entertained by two former students Jordan Bernice and Tayla Carrington, who showcased their musical talents.
The presentation of the Oscars was the highlight of the evening with everyone waiting with bated breath during the drum roll to see who the winner was. The ceremony ended with the prestigious award of ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Performing Arts’ . This year’s winners were Amelia D’Arcy, Grace Gosney, Libby Reeves and Chloe Schwartz. They received this award for their continual support to the Faculty providing Front of House and much more for all the shows.
