Year 11 Brune Park students enjoy exam success already!

As Year 11 parents will be aware, this year our wonderful Year 11 students worked hard towards two very valuable additional qualifications, aimed at maximising their ability to secure college and higher education places, and giving them skills and knowledge in Finance which are very attractive to employers and apprenticeship providers.

The Award in Financial Education (AiFE) Level 1 was secured by 190 students, or 82% of those students entered.

Those awarded the AiFE, were eligible to go on to sit the Certificate in Financial Education (CeFE) Level 2.We are delighted to say that 155 students went on to secure this qualification; that’s a whopping 84% of the students who were eligible to sit.

Fantastic outcomes!

The national results for the CeFE last year were that just under 57% of students achieved a pass at a grade C or above. Year 11 students at Brune Park rose massively above and beyond the national figure therefore.

We are delighted for our hardworking Year 11 students and staff. We are thrilled to know that these results, will not only maximise their life chances, but give them a wonderful boost as they await their results in August.

There were a small number of students who sat the CeFE exam who didn’t quite get over the line to a pass on their first attempt. Each and everyone of these students missed the boundary by very, very few marks. All of these students will have an opportunity to resit the exam on the 27th June to secure their pass. With continued hard work, we know these students can also come away with some fantastic grades.

We wanted to share this wonderful news with you so that you can join us in congratulating our youngsters on their hard work and efforts. Our students were delighted with their results, as the photos show.
